To Those Who Grieve Things That Never Were

It's a source of joy to wish happiness for the ones you love.

My chest glows and fills with excitement when I want beautiful things for people I love.

I can imagine infinite possibilities for someone to be happy, where they're relaxed and free from worries, from the perpetual discontent that can make anyone feel detached from what's real and make it seem like one's happiness is out there, and not inside the individual.

Maybe it's easy for me to imagine someone being happy because I actually think we all take everything so seriously.

And I believe nothing is worth taking seriously.

It's only a matter of perception not to take anything seriously, and only a matter of understanding to get that perception.

Life is fun when you don't take it seriously. And games are super fun when you take them really seriously.

Maybe life should be a game you play seriously.

So many times I see people stuck on fruitless worries, giving those worries an energy they do not deserve.

They might be thinking their life is about achieving this or that, whereas they only act upon their internal or external conditioning. They never had the chance to reflect on it, push back against it, or build an identity strong enough to say, "I'm not playing this game. Nobody asked me what I think, and now it's my chance to say no. Fuck off, maybe?"

Victims of ghosts inside their heads.

I love these people from the bottom of my heart, but they do look blind to me.

I'd love to see them play this game with fun and practicality, in a way that yields actual results.

And not play games of fruitless worry.

Accepting the things that never were comes with some disappointment and blandness. I accept those too. That's the game I play, and that's where my joy comes from.

A funny note: I'm one of those people. I'm the lover and one of the loved ones on this page.
